As I was going over ideas to write about in our first ScriptWorks Pharmacy blog, I couldn’t stop thinking about how proud I was of our business, and all the amazing individuals that have contributed to our success.

We want to recognize our faithful patients that continually return to ScriptWorks, month after month and year after year. We wouldn’t be where we are today without you. Thank you for choosing us to help you and your family (furry or otherwise)!

We would also like to show a deep appreciation to all our prescribers, who have trusted us throughout the years to become healthcare partners. Our pharmacists truly enjoy working with each of you to problem solve and find the best solution to take care of our patients.

Our ScriptWorks team is so blessed and thankful to be able to continually serve our patients, despite the many challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Our first blog is about something near and dear to me: personalized hormone replacement therapy. Over the years, we’ve had the privilege of helping both men and women with hormone therapy. We’re all aware that as we age, our hormones naturally decrease, which in turn can affect everything from energy levels to mood, sleep, and intimacy. Personalized hormone therapy is a safe and clinically effective way to help re-balance our hormones. In conjunction with a healthy diet and exercise, hormone replacement can mitigate the symptoms of andropause and menopause.

Some of the potential benefits of hormone therapy for both males and females:

  • Improved energy levels
  • Improved mood and sleep
  • Diminished hot flashes and night sweats
  • Improved libido
  • Improved symptoms of erectile dysfunction
  • Improved mental focus and decreased “foggy thinking”

In addition, hormone replacement therapy may also help prevent diseases such as:

  • Osteoporosis
  • Cardiovascular Disease (heart attacks and strokes)
  • Type II Diabetes
  • Alzheimer’s Disease
Look for other posts in the future for more in-depth discussions of the different hormones, such as testosterone, progesterone, and estrogens. Our pharmacists have received extensive training in hormone replacement therapy, and look forward to working collaboratively with your provider to help you live your best life! Reach out to one of our ScriptWorks pharmacists and we can guide you thorough this rather simple process.

Call ScriptWorks for a FREE, 15-minute hormone consultation with one of our pharmacist hormone educators.
