A Veterinary's Request for a Custom Burn Gel

When Dr. Stacey Holz, Veterinarian, called during the 2018 Camp Fire, she had a very special request.

While dogs can be leashed and led to safety during a fire, cats tend to hide. In the town of Paradise, where the fire moved so quickly, there were badly burned feline survivors.

Stacey asked us to help create a custom burn gel with Manuka Honey, a special honey from New Zealand known for its healing properties.

Our pharmacists crafted the formula, and within 24 hours of the call, Dr. Holz’s team picked it up. The gel worked beautifully. Thank you for making that call, Dr. Holz. We love solving problems with customized medicine.
