Bob had worked in his Dad’s pharmacy from age 9 and is very proud to have started his pharmacy career as a “soda jerk.” In May 1986, Bob became Owner and Pharmacist-in-Charge of these two family businesses. It was during this time that Bob fell in love with compounding, learning the tools of the trade working side by side with his father.

Bob opened Solano Avenue Pharmacy in 1997 and built it from the ground up into a very busy and revered neighborhood drug store. In 2003, Bob was given the chance to open his dream pharmacy, ScriptWorks, in which he was able to meet unique patient needs by providing assistance to his patients through compounding. Areas of specialty at ScriptWorks include Hormone Replacement Therapy, Pain Management, Autism Disorders, Thyroid Imbalances, and Veterinary Compounding.

ScriptWorks, a PCAB and ACHC-accredited pharmacy, continues to grow in Bob’s home town of Walnut Creek, CA. ScriptWorks provides quality, evidence-based pharmacy compounding services to the community, and to patients all over the state of California. ScriptWorks has been visited by compounding pharmacists from countries all over the world, including China, Australia and New Zealand, as well as from pharmacists across the U.S.

Throughout Bob’s career, he has demonstrated his commitment and passion to pharmacy compounding and the patients he treats. Bob has been featured in several pharmacy peer-reviewed journals, and has lectured at several Pharmacy Schools around the San Francisco Bay Area, including Touro University College of Pharmacy and UCSF School of Pharmacy. Bob, along with his son and one of ScriptWork’s intern pharmacists co-authored an article on Quality Assurance ongoing training in the Compounding Pharmacy.

Bob has made 13 consecutive annual trips to Washington DC, making personal visits to US Senators and Congressman to make sure that patients continue to have access to compounded medications. Bob is very proud and thankful to all the members of the ScriptWorks team, who make coming to work every day a pleasure, and always inspire him to do more.

Bob’s real passion is showing doctors and veterinarians how compounding pharmacy can help improve their patient’s lives. Bob works and lives with his devoted wife, is the father of two boys, and enjoys travelling, spending quality family time and playing golf.
